Kaeng Krachan National Park

Thailands largest national park and such is host to diverse wildlife and varying terrains.

The main aspects of the park are rain forests, mountains, and a huge hydroelectric dam and reservoir, which is a host to recreational activities as well as irrigation.

About the National Park

Due to the varied wildlife, Kaeng Krachan is popular for birdwatching, wildlife trekking, and camping.

There is nowhere to stay inside the park, but there are designated camp areas. From there various treks to the caves, waterfalls and wildlife trails can be made.

The park is popular at the weekends, and very busy on holday weekends where people raft on the rivers and camp.

Due to the size of the national park, some form of transport is recommended to visit the different areas unless you are camping in one, and don't plan to visit the others.
